On the last CMD Adizes Institute meeting Committee of Managing directors came to the decision that the next, Jubileum 30th, Adizes Convention is going to take place in Istanbul. Next year host will be Mr. Cemal Silan from Adizes Istanbul. For 2009, Convention is supposed to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

After the 29th, Adizes Convention held on Palic, Serbia from 2 – 5 of July this year, with around 100 participants from 21 countries, we received the following note from the founder and president of the Adizes Institute - dr Ichak Adizes:

I would like to thank you from all my hart in my and in the name of my family for the unmemorable Adizes Convention. You changed the opinion and raised the reputation of Serbia in these just few days. It was excellent-phenomenal.

Adizes Southeast Europe had the honor to organize a 29th Adizes Convention – meeting of all Adizes Associates and its clients from all around the world. Over 100 participants from 20 countries had the opportunity to hear specific lecturers in a range variety of topics and trends.

Excellence by Design: Prototyping the Future, Spiral Dynamics New Horizons, Sao Paulo Chamber of Commerce - Application of Adizes Methodology, Kepner Tregoe comparison with Adizes, Balanced Scorecard, Lean Six Sigma, Summary remarks on management in countries in transition, Building and Using your Network, Family Business Therapy, Principles of mediation, Future Management, Corporate Lifecycles - Empirical Study, Knowledge Management, Selection and Assignment Software, Spiral Dynamics Tool were the topics presented on these sessions.

Beside the knowledge exchange, participants could enjoy in the natural beauties of the Palic Lake and its surrounding. Every year Adizes Institute is giving the awards for the best performances of the year in tree categories. This year laureate for the Associate of the Year is Sunil Dovedy from Adizes USA, MPC Company from Belgrade received the award for the Pursuit to Prime Organization, and Europroduct from Odessa, Ukraine was acknowledged for the Organization of the Year.

Professor Dr. Ichak Adizes ended his visit to South East Europe by giving a set of lectures held from August 27 to August 31, organised by CEEMAN (Central and East European Management Development Association) and IEDC – Bled School of Management. Apart from management school professors, company executives and consultants of all ex-Yugoslavia countries, Canada, Finland, Russia, Romania, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia, rectors and deans of several management schools attended the seminar. In the morning, Professor Adizes acquainted the participants with his method. In the afternoon, in an interactive discussion with Dr. Adizes’ associates, consultants Nebojsa Carić (Adizes CEE), Zvezdan Horvat (Adizes CEE) and Zvonko Kuzmanovski (Adizes Institute), the participants had an opportunity to learn about implementation of the method based on their vast experience gained through the implementation of the method. The participants evaluated highly the seminar, and words of praise came from the seminar organizer too, - Mr. Milenko Gudic, CEEMAN representative and Mrs. Danica Purg, Director of IEDC – Bled School of Management.

Yesterday, at the inauguration of the 28th Conference of Adizes  Institute that was taking place in Chinese town Changdu, the well-earned “Associate of the Year” award was presented to our colleague, one of the founders and partners at Adizes Southeast Europe Nebojsa Caric. All of our clients, who had an opportunity to cooperate with Nebojsa, either through consulting or trainings, most certainly know what the Award comment says. The fact that Nebojsa has been deeply dedicated to research work for twenty years and that he created several original approaches and tools managers use in their everyday work perhaps is not so widely known. All those whom we have cooperated with in creating business strategies, award system implementation and candidate selections had an opportunity to see for themselves all sorts of new and practical things he hasdesigned. We believe the award will serve as an extra encouragement to Nebojsa Caric to share his numerous ideas and hundreds of pages of notes with those who have  always been acknowledging his work – satisfied clients.

At the end of January, a meeting of directors within Adizes Institute network was held in Santa Barbara. The goal of these meetings, held twice a year, included exchanging experiences and determine the further methodology techniques development.
ASEE Professional Director Nebojsa Caric was appointed the Program Director of the 28th Convention, which will be held in early June in Chengdu, China. To continue with, apart from Zvezdan Horvat, Boris Vukic was decided to grant certificates within Adizes Institute worldwide.
